Bursaries for young singers

Student Bursaries
We are offering a number of bursaries which would enable young singers to sing with Parnham Voices. The bursaries would cover the cost of normal membership subscription. This would be ideal for students studying music to help develop their general musicianship (in particular: listening skills, score-reading and performance skills and experience of music of different style from c.1500’s to the present day). You don’t have to be studying music at school/sixth-form to apply as we welcome applications from all young musicians who have a real interest in singing in choirs.

We would like you to:

Be a GCSE or A’ level student (not necessarily studying music)

Be able to read music notation

Commit to rehearsing with us on Monday evenings 7.30pm-9.30pm

Commit to performing with us at our concerts.

The process:
Please register your interest by contacting our chairperson Sue Dymock  susandymock@hotmail.com

We’ll invite you to come and hear us rehearse and then meet the musical director for a short interview and to hear your voice. If successful, we’ll then invite you to come and sing with us for a 5 rehearsal trial period, after which we can discuss if singing with us is right for you and us.
